Five of the Best is a weekly series for supporters of Eurogamer. It's a series that highlights some of the features in games that are often overlooked. It's also about having your say, so don't be shy, use the comments below and join in!

Oh and if you want to read more, you can - you can find our entire Five of the Best archive elsewhere on the site.

No, Mount Doom is not allowed, nor is Mount Chiliad from Grand Theft Auto or Mason Mount from FIFA. All of these were helpfully suggested by my colleagues. Such a helpful bunch. I'm talking about mounts you mount, as in the verb, as in things that carry you around. Horses are a great example of them of course; they've long been humankind's animal transport of choice. But games aren't limited to reality. We can ride around on a dragon in a game if we want - tangent: have you been watching House of the Dragon? I can't help but think of video games whenever they show a first-person or over-the-shoulder dragon-riding sequence. I can't work out if I think it looks cool or terrible.
